I focus on the development and evaluation of conversational agents (chatbots) based on large language models (LLMs) to address mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and smoking cessation. I have designed and conducted chatbot testing aimed at improving performance metrics, workflow, usability, and the effectiveness of mental health services through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additionally, I have actively contributed to the writing of scientific papers, as well as presentations and conferences in the field of biomedical informatics.

I am responsible for developing and leading collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects focused on digital mental health, particularly those involving conversational agents powered by large language models. Additionally, I write and submit proposals for national and international competitive funding opportunities. Among the projects I have worked on, we focus on the development and implementation of AI-driven conversational agents for mental health, exploring their potential for self-managed interventions and improving access to mental health care.

Responsible for editorial policy review, Open Journal System management, and initial manuscript review. I am responsible for the scientific soundness of the journal. Additionally, I am responsible for coordinating with the other associate editors on the editorial process for publishing scientific articles. Analysing data on the performance of the public and private health systems in Peru. Writing scientific articles. Designing and proposing public policies.

We develop mental health research in occupational contexts at the national level. Mainly in projects on physical and mental health sequelae in post-COVID-19 workers. In addition, we have developed systematic reviews on occupational and mental health issues. During my tenure, we have won research awards in CONCYTEC-PROCIENCIA (principal investigator).

The main activities are manuscript writing, data analysis, and coordination with field workers. Also, writing proposals to apply for funding. Within CRONICAS I was able to work together with researchers from different parts of the world. Among the most important experiences are traveling to Singapore and India for the development of international research projects.
